Survey Background
Respondents targeted were young adults aged 18-35 years old, across a sample of 502 persons with varying genders, ethnicities, and monthly incomes.

Has Covid-19 Affected Singapore’s Next-Gen Investor Behaviour?
Has the pandemic affected the investment behaviors of young adults, and their considerations of different investment products? Surprisingly, the results seem to indicate that the Covid-19 pandemic has not dampened investment sentiments. 80% of the young adults surveyed are current investors and equity remains popular as an investment product of choice.

Why Do Young Adults Spend and Save?
What are the financial behaviors of young adults today, and what are the driving forces behind these behaviors? We find that 4 in 5 young adults have a habit of saving money, and the top goal of young adults in Singapore is to achieve financial freedom.

What Motivates Young Adults to Invest?
Why are young adults spurred to invest, and what are their current perceptions of investing as a way to grow their income? The survey results indicate that 50% of young adults agree on the need to start investing young, however there are some barriers to start which include lack of investment knowledge, limited budget, and a fear that investment is too risky.
