Someshwar Marepalli, CFA

Someshwar Marepalli is a vice president and research analyst for Franklin Templeton Fixed Income - Mortgage Backed Securities in Hyderabad, India. Mr. Marepalli is responsible for managing a team of quantitative analysts and data scientists who analyze large data sets using fundamental fixed income methods, and develop machine learning models for both securitized and non-securitized assets by leveraging geo-economic and alternative data. Mr. Marepalli is the primary analyst for commercial mortgage backed securities, and specializes in agency and residential mortgage backed securities.

Mr. Marepalli has over 12 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to his current role, Mr. Marepalli was a research associate for Morgan Stanley. He also was previously with Nomura and CMBS. Mr. Marepalli joined Franklin Templeton in 2014 as a research analyst.

Mr. Marepalli holds a bachelors of technology in computer science and engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) at Bombay. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charterholder.
